Jeremy Sackett

Jeremy Sackett is a native of Highland, Illinois. He received his law degree at Southern Illinois University. His legal career began in the SIUC elderly clinic, where he offered his clients the comfort and confidence of knowing their financial and health care needs were in order. During this time, he also had his first taste of high-stakes litigation, helping to secure a judgment after trial for a client of over $200,000.

After returning to the Madison County area, he joined a small firm as an associate. He gained invaluable experience handling various legal cases, including personal injury, criminal defense, family law, wills, and estate planning.

Jeremy then spent a five-year term in service of the citizens of Madison County as an Assistant State’s Attorney, prosecuting misdemeanors, felonies, DUIs, and domestic batteries. He tried over a dozen cases to a jury in both misdemeanor and felony court. He also conducted numerous statutory summary suspension hearings and hearings on orders of protection.

As a co-founding partner of Swanson and Sackett, P.C., Jeremy expanded his areas of practice to include personal injury, expungements, and driver's license reinstatements. He began a landlord division, representing more landlords, property management companies, and mobile home communities than any other attorney in Madison County.



Now Jeremy brings his litigation-intensive experience to his new firm of Sackett Law, P.C., with a renewed focus on individualized attention to his clients. He once again finds himself in the service of the citizens of Madison County, just one client at a time.
